Are you a proactive and technically adept professional with a passion for shaping cutting-edge API solutions? Join our dynamic team as an API Solutions Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in installing, optimizing, and maintaining high-availability Axway API Management solutions. In this position, you will collaborate closely with both Axway teams and client-side resources to orchestrate, secure, and monitor API lifecycles.
Responsibilities

• Collaboration Excellence: Engage seamlessly with Axway teams and client resources, fostering strong partnerships to ensure seamless solution delivery.
  
• API Management Implementation: Lead the installation of Axway API Management solutions within high-availability environments, ensuring robust deployment and optimization across the complete API lifecycle.
  
• Empowering Client Enablement: Take on a dual role of informal mentorship and formal training, equipping clients with the knowledge and skills needed to maximize the potential of our solutions.
  
• Best Practices Guidance: Assess existing customer implementations and offer insightful recommendations and best practices to enhance their API strategies.
  
• Infrastructure Advancement: Execute significant infrastructure updates and product upgrades, contributing to the continuous improvement of our offerings.

    • Linux Proficiency: Proven experience in system and/or application administration using Linux, showcasing your technical prowess.
      
    • SDLC Expertise: Familiarity with tools across the Software Development Life Cycle, including source control, build systems, issue tracking, and requirements management.
      
    • API Mastery: Solid understanding of API Management concepts, coupled with experience building, testing, and utilizing web APIs.
      
    • Security Savvy: Knowledge of PKI and X509 certificates, along with experience in web application security and federated identity concepts.
      
    • Versatile Technologist: Proficiency in application development languages such as Java, C#, Groovy, Go, JavaScript, Python, Jython, and Shell (Bash).
      
    • Containerization Proficiency: Experience with Docker and Ansible containers, and familiarity with deploying container-based cluster engines using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
      
    • Cloud Literacy: Understanding of cloud-related technologies and the ability to navigate within cloud environments.
      
    • DevOps Mindset: Familiarity with DevOps tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins.
      
      Technical Optional Requirements (nice to have):

      • API Management Platform Familiarity: Experience with API Management platforms such as Axway/Vordel APIGateway, Apigee, CA/Layer, APIGateway, Akana, SoftwareAG.
        
      • Web Application Expertise: Proficiency in web application development, enhancing your ability to drive comprehensive solutions.
        
      • Identity Management: Familiarity with Microsoft ADFS, CA SiteMinder, Oracle Access Manager, and related technologies.
        
      • Holistic IT Understanding: Knowledge of network concepts (OSI Layer) and tools like Wireshark, enhancing your problem-solving capabilities.
        
      • Cloud Enthusiast: Exposure to SaaS Application Integration and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, Google, and Rackspace.
