Now for all the job description "stuff": An ideal candidate will be able to multi-task various projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while maintaining a customer-centric, friendly, and professional demeanor. This individual will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, partnered with a high level of understanding of "the art of the escrow" and will possess the willingness and patience to guide the escrow principals, their lenders, and/or agents through the process. Essential Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Comply with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to all applicable regulations Open escrow transactions; develop and/or obtain the appropriate escrow documentation in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures Establish escrow accounts and maintain accurate records Prepare escrow documents in accordance with instructions and established company policies Timely review of title commitment and proactive disclosure to the parties of what information or documentation will be needed to satisfy requirements Understanding of complex title issues and ability to use creative problem-solving skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with Chief Title Officer to come up with solutions Follow instructions contained in purchase agreement and the lender's closing instructions, after reviewing them thoroughly and confirming that compliance is in line with company policy and regulatory requirements Prepare ALTA settlement statement/Closing Disclosure by reading, interpreting and following all instructions Complete the closing by reviewing closing documents with parties; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures Prepare write up for issuance of title insurance policies Ability to prepare and review recording packages for accuracy Complete closing by recording and filing documents; preparing and distributing final closing statements; disbursing all funds and requesting issuance of final title policy Update and enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Participates in business development activities with the assistance, guidance and support of the President and Business Development personnel Regular and predictable attendance in the branch Genuinely adhere to a strict code of honor, integrity and a great work ethic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 10 years' experience directly handling escrow transactions as an Escrow Officer is preferred Knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications Able to function in a fast-paced environment with tight and changing deadlines Must be detail-oriented, organized and capable of managing tasks on multiple, concurrent projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills are essential Ability to work proactively and autonomously Ability to read and interpret complex documents Willingness to cross-train and do what it takes to get the job done Demonstrate initiative by confidently self-starting improvements to office procedures, reports and processes with minimal supervision Ability to effectively communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously in writing and verbally with customers and employees Work well on a team and collaborate with others but also be able to work independently Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as title and escrow fees, pre-paid or accruing interest, sales commissions, proportions, and percentages Working knowledge of escrow software systems (We are currently on FAST)Job Type: Full-timeBenefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Vision insurancePhysical setting: OfficeSchedule: Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types: Commission payCOVID-19 considerations:Restricting face-to-face appointments.
